There are just so many books that I'd like to read! Today I was at the Library with my friend Nathaly, and she was cracking up over the stacks of books I wanted to flip through. I just love to read; mostly non-fiction or biographies! Today I went to the aisle with the political books(I guess the Obama high is still going strong),and I didn't know where to start. Here's a list of the books I'm going to read by March..........................Bare with me, it's not in alphabetical order!
The Color purple(currently reading)
Twilight
The Soloist
Crime&Punishment
Awake in A Nightmare
Autobiography of Malcolm X
Martin Luther King Jr. Bio
Eleanor Roosevelt Bio
Do or Die(L.Bing)
JFK Bio

Travelin woMan
Ever since I was little I've wanted to travel the U.S.. There are also many foreign countries I'd love to visit, but not any one in particular (at the moment at least)! Growing up, my parents took us to a some cool places during summer breaks. We went to Vegas,Arizona(Grand Canyon kinda creeped me out) and Texas(To visit family). As far as California, just the usual places(Monterey(my fave),San Diego,San Francisco. One of my grandaunts had a collection of coins she'd collected while traveling the U.S.. They used to give them out at gas stations, like a souvenir or something. I just thought it was so cool. So I've been doing a little Internet/library research on various landmarks that seem interesting. Being that I'm a History buff at heart, I'd like to start with the historical monuments. But of course there's the fun stuff(Miami,NYC,Chicago(taste of Chicago, yeah and of course attend a taping of Jerry and Steve Wilkos' shows),New Orleans.
Here are some places I've always wanted to visit:(In no particular order)
Hearst Castle
Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. grave site in Atlanta(I've seen pictures, just beautiful)
Graceland(Not really a fan of Elvis but hey it's a landmark,so if I happen to drive through Memphis..........)
NYC(Just for the heck of it)
Chicago(Taste of Chicago,Jerry,Steve tapings)
New England(Just to taste the Chowder, haha)
The southern states(gotta be careful though, lol)
Oregon(The beaches are beautiful there)
Seattle(I want to catch one of those fish)
Niagara Falls
Hawaii(Really,do I have to explain)
Pennsylvania(Hersey Factory,duh)
Colorado(Just because)
Missouri(except for Kansas City, because all I have to do is watch an episode of C0P's to see that place, just sayin)
And back to(Monterey(especially Pebble Beach, it was so pretty),San Diego,San Francisco,San Simeon,Solvang, pretty much every town along/on the way to the California Coast/Hwy 1!
Now the Historical stuff I've been itching to see
Washington Monument
Statue of Liberty
Mount Rushmore
to be continued because there are many more that I can't think of right now!!!

Drink up!
Okay I know it's not new years yet but I wanted to make a resolution to drink more water! I have an addiction to Diet 7up,Crystal Light, Lipton diet Green tea, pretty much anything diet for that matter. Well in fairness I do drink a fair share of water but not the recommended amount daily, and that's my goal. I've been sick for the last 2 weeks and during that time I indulged in some of my favorite no no beverages. I love OJ(especially with extra pulp), but because I'm at risk of Diabetes2, I cannot indulge too often. I also love Minute Maid Fruit punch and Grape Juice! It sucks because I love juice. But it hasn't been too bad! While I was in the deep part of my Upper Respiratory infection, I started to drown myself with H20(ha ha, sorry but I'm taking Bio right now and we just discussed basic Chemistry). I read that water is helpful with reducing phlegm and mucus so I just downed it. I loved the feeling of drinking water that I decided to drink at least 3 liters a day! I found this website that lets you figure out your daily requirement, based on weight, activity level, environment. Check it out!!

Happiness is....................
Chocolate covered Oreo cookies from the Rocky Mountain Chocolate factory. Today we had to go to the mall to look for dyable shoes. On the way out my mom noticed a fudge brownie in the window(you got us) and decided she wanted one. Well you know how those chocolate places are,a lot of chocolate covered treats and of course the dipped apples! Well while waiting in line I noticed the oreos. They came dipped in, milk, mint, white and dark chocolate. I've already had milk chocolate oreos(you can buy them at any store and they're heavenly when slightly melted) So I decided to buy one mint and white chocolate. They were to die for! Thankgoodness for my newfound willpower. I'm trying to cut down(waaaay down,on sweets). But my sweet tooth is constantly bugging me so I've deciced that rather than give up all sweets, I'll just cut back. So far it's working, and I don't over do it as much anymore! But I'll mos def be going back there.
Oh and btw, we found the best pair of dyable shoes that are so comfy and will go great with my bm dress! They were at Davids Bridal(which we wanted to avoid) for a pretty good price considering.

Note to self................Use a measuring spoon when adding
"fizzy stuff" to a foot spa!! I haven't used the foot spa since I first bought it which was 7 years ago! Usually I just fill a dish basin up with water and add the fancy fizz/Freeman foot gel. But tonight I decided to try the fizzy stuff in my foot spa. I turned on the machine(it actually still works, lol) and bypassed the first 2 settings(massage &massage and heat respectively) to the third setting which is massage, heat and bubbles. Well bubble it did,all over the machine! The jar says sprinkle in a handful of fizz but the sprinkle side wasn't moving so I decided to open the scoop side. Well obviously more than enough came out! Wasn't that big of a mess though and turned out to be pretty relaxing! I have a new found love for my foot spa and will be using it a lot more often!

OH NO!!! Not the 99 cent store!!!
The 99 cent store wants to raise their prices, to compete with of all places: Costco!!! Everybody knows that the 99 cent store buys their stuff in bulk(ie.water, snacks ect.). This is totally not going to work! The only reason people shop at the 99 cent store is because it's the 99 cent store!!! Gas prices, food prices, just about everything is going up. Even cheapie stores are trying to screw us over now!
Here is the article:http://retail.freedomblogging.com/2008/08/12/99%c2%a2-only-stores-may-steal-costcos-shoppers-raise-prices/

Why cant movie studios just stop after the sequel????
Didn't they learn after Rocky 4? Not all movies are like the Godfather. For example, the movie "Friday" was hilarious, the sequel not so much but the third installment was so-so if you want a good laugh regardless of the writing. Well Hollywood has done it again. Rush Hour 3 came out last week and had a less than expected moment. Even worse according to OcRegister.com, the studio is contemplating RH4. I'm a big fan of the first two movies, but the trailer for the new movie is horrible. One movie that's sparked my interest is Bourne Ultimatum with Matt Damon. I don't really know much about him/work and have yet to see the first Bourne movie. Has anyone seen either Bourne Identity/ Rush Hour 3?
What's the best sequel movie you've seen???
